A LONG ROAD TO SOBRIETY

So I am about to speak of a topic that most people would rather sweep under the rug. It is very real to us and too familiar. As most of you know Ty and I got together almost 5 years ago...We were young. About 10 months later Tyler had come to me with devastating news, something I suspected but didn't want to come to terms with. He told me he needed help, this crushed me. My boyfriend of almost a year was a heroin addict. How could I not know?? I kept asking myself. Naive, thinking this would be hard but would be over with soon. Little did I know what we were in for. We went to Ty's family I told them he needs help, I told them he came to me but was too afraid to ask them for help. We soon visited our family Dr. In need of any help or advice he could give us. He prescribed him Oxycontin to wein him from a dangerous addiction. Without this method Tyler could have died from withdrawals.

Two weeks later we would revisit our Dr. not for Ty but for me...WE WERE PREGNANT! How at this time in our crazy lives could we be having a baby? This I believed was a gift from god. This is what helped Tyler stay strong and stay on the path to becoming sober one day. We were so scared at first! We knew in our hearts no questions asked we were keeping this baby! Well back to Ty and Oxycontin soon came another drug and another drug. Thinking he was clean, boy was a wrong. I will never know if he tried Heroin after we left the Dr. office. I know he was addicted to the pills now. Trying so many different methods soon coming to Suboxone then methadone and back to our regular Dr. who vowed to help Ty get out of this mess. So he started Ty on Methadone in 2008 just last year, controlling his dosage and monitoring him every two weeks to three weeks then to four weeks. Ty was doing really well. With every return appointment came a lower dosage and lower quantity and With Tyler's Strength and willingness and readiness to be DONE he was in January 2009! This is a dedication to his sobriety for 6 mths and 23 days!! I am sooo Proud of him!

Tyler is such an amazing person! I have never known him clean...this was scary for me. Its finally like he is alive, living his life for the first time in 5 years! He is more outgoing and exited about life! He has changed so much its almost night and day! I look up to him and thank god for Saving the love of my life and our family! I wouldn't want to be without him. Tyler is such an amazing person and has inspired me in so many ways. That is such a difficult task and he Concorde it! So I know this was a long story and sometimes people are surprised to hear this about him and us but people need to know...Need to know that it can be done! There is hope! You just CAN'T GIVE UP EVER!!! Keep faith and hope. This song you are hearing on my page is Tyler's song dedicated to him. He showed this song to me the other day and I asked him to tell me what it was about and he said I'd know once I listened. So I did, Ty started it for me then left the room come the chorus I knew what it was about and I looked back to see Ty standing and tears rolling down his face...This was his life and how he feels about his sobriety in this song, as if someone wrote this especially for him. I stood up walked over to him and we both cried. It has been such a long road! Its always going to be there, But we are strong he IS STRONG and can keep his sobriety! I BELIEVE IN HIM! I love you Babe!

FUN AT GOSHEN DAYS

This is at Goshen Days, held around the 24th of July of every year. They do a parade and an all day event for the kids and then usually a rodeo and fun things throughout the day. We LOVE Goshen Days! I know LAME but maybe it is just the fact that we are with the ones we love and people we care for and have known for a very long time, such as our friends we grew up with, friends of the family or family or just plain ole Goshen Folk. Its a nice little town and the people are nice. Everyone knows everyone its kinda like that song "Were all famous in a small town" Everyone knows your business whether you want them to or not sometimes that's a good thing or a bad thing.
They had a really cool set up out there of Army vehicles, the kids really loved that they got to sit in them and see what its like to be on the inside. Maybe one day they will be serving our country...

So these little doo hickies (blow up bouncies) are Callens favorite! Wraylee is so afraid of everything she wont even look at it poor thing. Callen would jump in there all day if I let him! It took a little while to actually get him out ha ha ha Wish we had one at home!

Oh my gosh! I LOVE this pic and Ty will too one day he will thank me. There aren't many of just the two of them. Hard to think about this day but when the day comes that our parents are gone he'll be glad he has this picture. They look so much alike! Its a good thing they have good looking genes in the family! :) I am glad I got this pic!
Cal Fishin away just like his daddy! He thought this was fun! Smart little guy knew there wouldn't be a REAL fish...he loved the little fun toys though. Did it about 4 times and each time got something different...

Callen and Wray took a second trying to figure out how these worked...They figured it out and thought they were pretty cool!
Ah...its a moment! Wray LOVES her uncle Tyler always the first to give him a hug. She just adores him I think! Same with Grampa Terri! She just loves them. I think she is given him a hug just because she could LOL He kneeled down to fix Callens toy and she took advantage of his height and ran to give him a hug, cutest thing ever!
This is the BIG BLOW UP WATER SLIDE! Cal was so exited to go down it. He ripped of his shirt kicked off his flip flops and climbed on up! Like I said these bouncie things he loves em. This look on his face is priceless, poor thing he was scared coming down though I think he bounced and caught some air and seeing all that cold water down at the bottom didn't help much either I don't think. He went once more and that was it for the Water slide. He wanted nothing more to do with it. Maybe just too cold or it really scared him. Who knows but I wasn't going to make him to it again.

CAMPING IN NO MANS LAND

This is Provo waterfalls, just the beginning of what would be a LONG drive to our campsite! So we have had the worst luck lately with Ty's truck so while we got a part for the truck (we had to wait 2 hours for) I just told my aunt and uncle to head up without us. Just to leave us plates so we could find them. Well the last most crucial plate of all wasn't there when we arrived to a T in the road...Yeah so we went left HA HA HA by this time we had been driving for 4 hours and had no intent to turn back once we had hit end of road as far as we could go and there was no aunt or uncle. Sooo we set up camp and made dinner and slept...
The next morning Ty and Greg went to check out the river to see if they could fish. Cal ate cereal and went back to sleep. Tracy was up so I decided to get up too. Well the river was too fast to fish and well we decided to pack up and head to mirror lake to fish... I had to wake poor Cal up... He needed the sleep though he is very much like his mom in that way. We LOVE sleep!

Our GOOD friends Tracy and Greg came with us thank god they always make everything that much more interesting and fun! We love these guys to death! We have so much fun and just think of random stuff to do and always come up with new fun things to do sporadically!

In the Uintas Camping in East Forks Blacks Fork Bear river ha ha pretty much almost to Wyoming We always have a lot of fun camping! We love being in the outdoors! Ty and Greg LOVE to fish, it is insane how much they love fishing ha ha Tracy fishes sometimes...Me on the other hand I just cant bring myself to put a worm on a hook or touch the fish so I am not the one to be fishing. Ty would rather be out in his float tube then on shore or I'm sure he'd do all that for me lol

SOON TO BE MR. AND MRS. LOADER!!! Coming this FALL!!!

4TH OF JULY

Yay the 4th of July is here!!! So much fun, barbeques and fireworks and a margarita! LOL This year Ty was late getting home from fishing so Cal and I had to go and watch fireworks without him. Made me sad I really wanted him to be there with us. I realized once I had been there for 1 1/2 hours that I could have waited for him but I was afraid we'd miss them so I left...Wish he could have been there with us!

Cal wanted to take some funny pics lol so here I am ha ha ha We had a blast we went to the BYU museum building and layed out a blanket and started eating the snacks we brought. Popcorn, licorice, and gummies! The lady next to us gave Cal these glow sticks he was so happy they shared with us! They were really nice Cal became friends with the little boy. Tee Hee

What is this silly face??? LOL he is so funny I dont know what i would do without my silly boy! he and Ty are what make my world go round! I love them so much. Callen just gets funnier every day. He is always doing and saying the funnies things...

We are at home doing some Fireworks.. We dont usually buy much on the 4th you are always guaranteed to be abe to watch them somewhere so we will buy them for the 24th. We are sitting on the porch swing waiting for dad to light some flowers and fountains...
Father and son! The loves of my life!!! What would I do without them? They look so much alike! Almost identical... Callen loves his daddy so much. Every morning we wake up he always asks where he is. He just looks up to him so much! I am glad Tyler is his dad, he is such a good Dad!
Man O Man Do i LOVE HIM!!! We have rough days but at the end of the night you'd think nothing ever happened. We are still so in love!! Together for 5 years in Sept and Married for 4 years in October, how time flies!

OUR SWIMMING DAY

We went swimming at our pool First time we've been this year. Last year Callen was horrible with water. I never thought he'd swim again. As all of you know his birthday is in June (lucky bugger) So every year since he has turned 1 I have made it a goal to take him swimming. Well we never had a problem until last year. We went to seven peaks for his birthday and it was a disaster!!! If you can imagine a cat clinging to a shirt and just dipping that cat in the water...that was cal! Clinging to everything he could with all of his might! ha ha of course that was me!! I felt sad to have had him hate it so bad being that was his birthday and all. I thought he'd never get over the fear...Now look at him!!! He just LOVES LOVES LOVES the water! Makes me so happy! How would it be to have a summer birthday and fear the water??? He loves it so much there almost is no fear at all, which scares the heck out of me. He will plug his nose and jump in! You almost wouldnt believe that he was so fearful of it last year.
He goes down the slides constantly almost the whole time we are at the pool. He loves them. Tried going backwards, on his belly and backwards on his back, till the lifeguard told him no more lol He is my little evil kenievel ha ha ha Definately ALL BOY!
Rebeccah is Callens cousin, she and her brother and mom came with us on this day! It was a blast she is 6 and knows a little about swimming...She has a ball with it! Callen tries to keep up with her but she is a bit more advanced in the water than she is..

At the top of the slide, you'd think he thought he was at the top of the world!! He waits patiently for his turn(most of the time) but cant wait until its his turn to slide down! Then its a race to get back up tp the top so that he can do it all over again.

My older sister and my nephew Alec...She was worried about getting wet i think lmao I told her we weren't going to pool to look HOT we were going to play with our kids...That's Re for ya though. Alec is a bit timid in the water...I dont think he has been swimming much! He eventually warmed up to it though..! He was cold almost the whole time. Crazy boy!

WILDE BARBEQUE

We go to Ty's Grandparents house as often as we can. They live in Eureka which isnt far but by the time we both get home from work we are tired. A lot of the times we go up are for the barbeques! So much fun, family come and their are always about 5-7 kids. They have a blast! All the grandkids Love going to Grandma and Grandpa Wildes!

Ty usually brings his guitar and plays when we are done eating or while were waiting for food. Tyler is so talented! I dont think he even knows how talented and smart he is. Cal loves to help him play with the pick and loves to watch his daddy play. Everyone just sits silently as they listen to Ty play.

All the kids have so much fun gettting together and playing. They have such great imaginations!! I wish we as adults still had them. Something you can never get back. The kids are playing superheros. We just got through playing frisby and now that they've worn all us adults out they have to keep themselves busy ha ha ha They usually play so well together and are constantly entertained up there!

Ooooh Look at those scary faces LOL They are so much fun to watch....

This is grandpas fountain and a magnet for all the kids...They play with their action figures and splash in it. Last year Callen actually fell head first in it LOL too funny. He was extra careful this year to not make the same mistake! He just laughs now grandpa always asks him when he will do that cool trick again ha ha ha
